PC-9 helicopter model airplane plan

PC-9 helicopter

W.C.Hannon, Graphics's PC-9 helicopter

Type Model: Pocket Sized Chopper
Construction: Various Balsa
Wingspan:1.435 inches, twin propeller
Engine: Rubber Powered
Designer: Bill Watson
Plan Language: English

This could be an ideal project for a youngster just for fun. Making the propellers and the associated "hardware" might be troublesome for a young person, but a friend or family member could be useful for this. I've seen similar "aircraft" but with only one propeller - called a "Pogo Stick".

A useful article explains how to lubricate the rubber:
Rubber lubrication is important. Use Armor All, Son-of-a-Gun vinyl restorer, or Sil-Glyde silicone grease from auto parts stores. Tie the rubber knot before lubricating. A common way to lube a motor, is to put some of the lube in a plastic sandwich bag. The bag helps keep the lube off your hands. Smear it around a bit, then add the motor. Rub this all around in your hands and then remove and install the motor. You're ready to go! Needless to say, a bit of experimentation will quickly reveal the benefits of winding a well lubed motor.

It is very important that you download and inspect the pdf file before placing an order, in doubt please ask us for an opinion. If after doing all this you still get a plan you don´t like we can always find a solution but it will never be a perfect solution so please download and inspect the pdf file before ordering.
