This is the 72" version of the Sid Morgan designed PBY-5A. Original plans, nacelles and dorsal blisters available from Vintage RC Plans. Short kit available from Belair Kit Cutters in the UK, and Sunset Models in Ocala, Florida.
Plans show .35 glow engines with 4 oz. tanks - not enough fuel in my opinion - best suited to electric conversion.
Plans also show optional (and removable) fixed landing gear. Retracts don't seem feasible.

The engine SPEED 280 SPORTING appeared as a weak but as the drive is sufficient. Propeller FSK, regl. Jes 060 and 2S li-pol 740mAh have a small weight, so the final 550g seems to me to be optimal.
